Studierende aus Frankreich, der Schweiz und Deutschland erhalten eine interdisziplin\u00e4re Ausbildung auf dem Gebiet der Biotechnologie. Die Lehrveranstaltungen finden \u00fcberwiegend an der <strong><em>\u00c9cole Sup\u00e9rieure de Biotechnologie de Strasbourg<\/em> (ESBS)<\/strong> statt, die zur <em>Universit\u00e9 de Strasbourg<\/em> geh\u00f6rt. Die verwendete Unterrichtssprache ist in der Regel Englisch. Teile des Lehrstoffes, vorwiegend Praktika, werden blockweise an den Partneruniversit\u00e4ten Freiburg und Basel angeboten. Die Studierenden verbringen w\u00e4hrend dieser Kurse zwei bis sechs Wochen an den beteiligten Partneruniversit\u00e4ten, die auch die Unterbringung organisieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Biotechnologie ist eine der zentralen Schl\u00fcsseltechnologien des 21. Jahrhunderts, um den globalen Herausforderungen z.B. auf den Gebieten Ern\u00e4hrungssicherheit, Gesundheitsversorgung, Umweltschutz und Klimawandel zu begegnen. Die Biotechnologie ist eine interdisziplin\u00e4re Wissenschaft, die sich mit der Nutzung von biologischen Bausteinen (Organismen, Zellen oder Biomolek\u00fclen) in technischen Anwendungen und industrieller Produktion besch\u00e4ftigt. Ziel ist die Herstellung und Verbesserung von relevanten Produkten. Historisch etablierte biotechnologische Verfahren, wie das Bierbrauen oder die K\u00e4seherstellung, illustrieren die langj\u00e4hrige Anwendung dieses Ansatzes. Die Anwendungsbereiche der modernen Biotechnologie umfassen u.a. biotechnologische Verfahren in der Arzneimittelproduktion, Energiegewinnung, Lebensmittelherstellung sowie in der Biologie, Chemie und Ingenieurwissenschaften miteinander verkn\u00fcpft. Aus der Fachrichtung Biologie werden Kenntnisse aus den Bereichen Zellbiologie, Molekularbiologie, Mikrobiologie, Biochemie, Genetik, Synthetischer Biologie oder Pflanzenbiologie vermittelt. Die Chemie tr\u00e4gt durch die Biochemie und die analytische Chemie wesentlich zur Weiterentwicklung von Methoden und Prozessen bei. Anwendungsorientierte Ingenieurwissenschaften, etwa die Verfahrenstechnik, erm\u00f6glichen die technische Umsetzung von Produktionsprozessen. Nach 3 erfolgreich absolvierten Jahren an der ESBS wird der \u201e<strong>Dipl\u00f4me d&#8217;Ing\u00e9nieur en Biotechnologies<\/strong>\u201d verliehen. Parallel dazu kann der &#8222;<strong>Master of Science (M.Sc.) Mit einem wachsenden Netzwerk von \u00fcber 1000 Mitgliedern bietet die AAE ein sehr aktives Portal f\u00fcr Stellen- und Praktikumsangebote, das aktuelle und ehemalige Studierende w\u00e4hrend ihrer gesamten beruflichen Laufbahn unterst\u00fctzt. Die AAE organisiert zudem Networking-Veranstaltungen, die alle Mitglieder der ESBS-Familie zusammenbringen. H\u00f6hepunkte dieser Bem\u00fchungen sind die Alumni-Tage, die seit 2005 alle zwei Jahre stattfinden. Diese Veranstaltungen bieten eine gro\u00dfe Vielfalt an karrierebezogenen Vortr\u00e4gen und Workshops sowie Raum f\u00fcr den Austausch von Ideen, Meinungen und Wissen, um alte Freundschaften aufzufrischen \u2013 und neue zu schlie\u00dfen.<br>Der ESBS-Alumni-Verein legt zudem gro\u00dfen Wert darauf, seine Ressourcen in den Dienst der derzeitigen Studierenden zu stellen. Ihr Ziel ist es zudem, Verbindungen zwischen Studierenden und Unternehmen herzustellen, um den Einstieg ins Berufsleben zu erleichtern. Zu diesem Zweck organisiert der Verein verschiedene Veranstaltungen, darunter Vortr\u00e4ge, Podiumsdiskussionen, Besuche bei lokalen Unternehmen usw. Biotechnische Unternehmen sind im Aufsichtsgremium der ESBS vertreten und wirken bei der Gestaltung des Studienplans mit. Praktika haben in diesem Studiengang einen hohen Stellenwert. Neben den vorlesungsbegleitenden Laborpraktika sind externe Praktika fest in den Lehrplan integriert. F\u00fcr die Durchf\u00fchrung der Abschlussarbeiten suchen sich die Studierenden weltweit ein Forschungslabor im akademischen Bereich oder in der Industrie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zahlreiche Industriepraktika und Seminare von Firmenvertretern bieten den ESBS Studierenden die M\u00f6glichkeit neben der Universit\u00e4t auch die Industrie kennenzulernen und Kontakte zu kn\u00fcpfen. Die ESBS hat eine aktive Alumni Vereinigung die Kontakte zwischen der ESBS und ehemaligen Studierenden aufrechth\u00e4lt. Dadurch gibt es jede Menge Ansprechpartner*innen die bereits im Berufsleben stehen. Einmal im Jahr findet ein Alumnitag statt, auf dem ehemalige ESBS-Studierenden nach Stra\u00dfburg kommen und von ihren Erfahrungen berichten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Karrierem\u00f6glichkeiten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Master of Science und das franz\u00f6sische &#8222;Dipl\u00f4me d&#8217;Ing\u00e9nieur en Biotechnologie&#8220; sind international anerkannt und erm\u00f6glichen einen schnellen Einstieg in den Arbeitsmarkt oder in eine Promotion. ESBS-Absolventen finden weltweit in vielen Bereichen interessante Bet\u00e4tigungsfelder, z.B. Forschung und Entwicklung, Management, Qualit\u00e4tssicherung, Ausbildung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karrierem\u00f6glichkeiten bieten sich in Forschung und Entwicklung in der Industrie (z.B. Pharma- und Lebensmittelindustrie, Anlagenbau\/Umwelttechnik) und an Hochschulen auf allen Gebieten der Biotechnologie. Einstiegsm\u00f6glichkeiten finden sich in den Bereichen Produktion, Forschung und Entwicklung, Marketing, Produkt-und Verfahrensentwicklung oder Bioinformatik. Eine weitere M\u00f6glichkeit bietet sich auch in entsprechenden Beh\u00f6rden und Ministerien als Berater*innen f\u00fcr Fragen zu internationalen Entwicklungsprogrammen, angewandten Technologien, zu Umweltproblemen oder zur Ressourcensicherung.
