PhD Student – Educational Psychology

Carina Roth is a first-year PhD student in Educational Psychology at the University of Freiburg. She is pursuing her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Martin Daumiller and works as a research and teaching associate at the Department of Educational Psychology. Her research focuses on cognitive dissonance, self-referential conflicts and self-conscious emotions in text learning. Further interests center on motivation, sustainability, and science communication, particularly.
In addition to her doctoral research, Carina teaches courses in Educational Psychology, Learning and Instruction, and Sustainability and Motivation.
