Takeshi Onodera

Takeshi Onodera is a first-year PhD student in Educational Psychology at the University of Freiburg. He is currently conducting his PhD research on Group Motivation Climate and Dynamics in the Context of Second/Foreign Language Classrooms led by Prof. Martin Dumiller and Prof. Thamar Voss. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Miyagi University of Education and Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from The University of Queensland. His main research interest is various psychological aspects of second language learning and teaching. In addition, he has extensive experience of teaching English and Japanese to students with diverse backgrounds and invloved in teahcer education communities in Australia. His recent studies are published in major journals, including International Review of Applied Linguistics in Language Teaching and International Journal of Applied Linguistics. Additionally, he serves as a peer-reviewer in academic journals, including The Asia-Pacific Education Researcher, System, International Journal of Applied Linguistics, and Teaching and Teacher Education.
