Wajeeha Nadeem [she/her]

PhD Student – Educational Psychology

Wajeeha Nadeem is a first-year PhD student in Educational Psychology at the University of Freiburg, supervised by Prof. Dr. Martin Daumiller [Uni Freiburg] and Prof. Dr. Markus Langer [Uni Freiburg]. In her dissertation project, “Between Multiple Domain Goal Conflicts: Understanding Identity Processes as Drivers of Motivation in Academia,” she investigates how conflicts between teaching, research, and administrative goals affect the motivation, work engagement, and burnout of university faculty, with a focus on identity integration as an underlying mechanism. A clinical psychologist by background, she has completed clinical internships and supports clients with a range of mental health concerns. In addition, she is involved in a collaborative qualitative study on the doctoral supervision experiences of PhD candidates from underrepresented groups.
