The figure above illustrates our lab\u2019s conceptual framework dedicated to understanding and fostering effective teaching\u2013learning processes. The overarching goal is to promote successful educational processes by integrating multiple areas of inquiry across five main pillars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Motivation and Motivational Support<\/strong> \u2013 focusing on learners\u2019 goals, emotions, and motivational processes that underlie engagement and persistence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Self-regulated Learning<\/strong> \u2013 examining how students regulate their learning through strategies, adaptive instruction, and self-efficacy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Instructional Research and School Quality<\/strong> \u2013 investigating feedback, teaching quality, and the broader classroom climate that supports effective learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Learning with Digital Media<\/strong> \u2013 exploring the design and pedagogical use of digital and AI-based tools for learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Professional Research in Educational Contexts<\/strong> \u2013 studying evidence-based teacher education, reasoning, and the development of professional competence.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    To this end, we build on a foundation of innovative, rigorous, robust, and transparent methods as well as an international, integrated, and interdisciplinary research approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
