Mathematik (Mathematics)

Polyvalent dual major bachelor's degree programme - Major field (teacher education track)

The programme introduces the fundamentals of scientific mathematics and key subfields relevant to school mathematics. Alongside mathematics, students study a second school subject of equal importance. The programme offers varied subject combinations (e.g. mathematics and philosophy) and can serve as orientation for diverse interests. An option area allows further subject specialisation, while the teacher education track includes mathematics education and educational science. The teacher education track qualifies students for a subsequent Master of Education. Without it, graduates can continue with an M.Sc. in Mathematics, Mathematics in Data and Technology, or an interdisciplinary Master’s degree.
