Our Leadership Guidelines at the University of Freiburg

Leadership at our University is multifaceted as it takes place within different roles, contexts and disciplines. At the same time, it has a decisive influence on how successful collaboration can be, how people develop and how we grow as an institution.

As a result, the University of Freiburg has worked with representatives of all status groups to develop leadership guidelines that do justice to this diversity. The university-wide leadership guidelines clarify roles and responsibilities, promote open and respectful cooperation and provide everyone who leads people at our university with impetus for modern, effective leadership.

By living these leadership guidelines as a community, we are actively contributing to the further development of our leadership culture and to the future viability of the University of Freiburg as a whole.

Ambassadors:

The leadership guidelines were developed in collaboration with representatives from all areas of the University of Freiburg. The members of the working group continue to act as ambassadors and multipliers: They stand for the guidelines and help to ensure that they are put into practice in everyday university life.
