The societal relevance of knowledge transfer and science communications has greatly increased in the past years. At the beginning of 2021, we embedded the topic as a central component of our strategy, giving it crucial importance for the University leadership. In the working group, researchers, students, and science communicators are grappling with a common understanding of science communications and questions of roles and accreditation systems as well as with concrete goals and measures. All considerations are based on a quality-directed understanding of university and science communications. In this way, the University of Freiburg can further consolidate its pioneering role in science communications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-7387b849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The University\u2019s science communications include public events, media relations, and all other formats of digital and analogue communication. In addition, the University of Freiburg supports its researchers and advises them on all questions concerning knowledge transfer and science communications. For this purpose, we are currently building up a systematic qualification programme for researchers from all disciplines and different career stages.
