In the 2025 university elections, held online from 24 to 30 June 2025, University of Freiburg students and enrolled doctoral candidates elected their new representatives for the Senate and the faculty councils. In addition, teaching staff from the Faculty of Theology and service, administrative, and technical employees from the Faculty of Medicine were called upon to vote in by-elections.
