Research
Environmental scientist with a passion for the intersection of ecology, environmental law and policy. I am driven by the necessity to understand the dynamics of ecosystems from an interdisciplinary perspective and to explore how human activities and environmental changes affect natural systems. I focus on establishing a balance between human needs and ecological sustainability by incorporating scientific findings into decision-making processes. I am currently working as a researcher on the WildPosh project, investigating the effects of various pesticides on pollinator species, particularly hoverflies and butterflies. This research is related to the first work package (WP1) of the WildPosh project, which aims to develop a monitoring system to identify sources of pesticide exposure in different environmental matrices. As part of the project, I will also be working on my own dissertation project, which examines the extent to which pollinators were taken into account in the recent EU approval of the extended use of glyphosate.
