Research Interests

Prof. Voelkle’s research focuses on the design and analysis of multivariate empirical studies aimed at understanding what works and why. Much of his methodological work centers on structural equation modeling, continuous-time dynamic modeling, causality, and the integration of between-person and within-person perspectives in the study of psychological processes as they unfold over time. He collaborates closely with national and international colleagues in exploring the developmental dynamics of affective and cognitive functioning across the lifespan.
