Simulation and modelling of complex material systems

Making the future predictable

At the FMF, the 3D structures of complex functional systems are elucidated, modelled using quantum chemical methods and investigated in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials (IWM). The methods developed in this area form an important basis for the targeted development of the various materials and material systems used by the project groups.
