Curriculum Vitae<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Lawrence Wilde is a composer and Junior Professor of Composition and Music Theory in Post-digital Educational Spaces at the University of Siegen. The New York Times has described Wilde\u2019s work as \u201cpassionate and dramatically contoured.\u201d His music has been commissioned and performed by leading ensembles, including the Kronos Quartet, Eighth Blackbird, JACK Quartet, So Percussion, Tesla Quartet, Ensemble Mise-En, \u00c6ON Ensemble, and Variant 6. Wilde\u2019s research focuses on music education, music technology, and sustainability. In 2015, Wilde co-founded the project Music for a Sustainable Planet in partnership with the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN) and The Earth Institute at Columbia University. The initiative, blending concerts and conferences in New York City, featured new multimedia works that explored the intersections between scientific research, music, and sustainability and aimed to raise awareness for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The inaugural event was part of the 2015 International Conference on Sustainable Development. It occurred during the 2015 United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in NYC, aligning with adopting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 SDGs. Wilde holds a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in composition from the Juilliard School and a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) and Ph.D. in composition from Princeton University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
