Doc Hock

Summer fest for doctoral candidates
The Doc Hock* is a lively summer gathering for all doctoral candidates at the University of Freiburg! This event brings together researchers from all faculties for an afternoon and evening filled with good food, drinks, music, friendly games, networking, and plenty of time to relax and have fun. This year the Doc Hock will take place in the center of Freiburg at the Peterhofkeller. All doctoral researchers are welcome—whether you’re interested in meeting new people, joining in the games, or simply enjoying the atmosphere.
To help us plan, we ask that you register in advance so we can provide enough food and drinks for everyone.
The Doc Hock is organized by the Graduate Centre (GraCe) and the Joint Working Committee of the Doctoral Candidates’ Councils (GAA).
*If you’re not familiar with the term: a “Hock” (short for “Hockete”) is a traditional outdoor gathering in Baden, featuring casual food, drinks, and music—a great way to unwind and connect with fellow doctoral candidates!
