2. Please clarify the recognition of credits with the relevant department at the University of Freiburg
Check with the Eucor representative in your department at the University of Freiburg to see whether the courses you have chosen can be recognised as part of your degree programme.
Please note: Departments are not necessarily required to award exactly the same number of ECTS credits as those awarded by the host university.
3. Register on Mobility-Online & (optionally) complete the Learning Agreement
Register your mobility on Mobility-Online an. There you can:
- confirm your personal details or add to them if necessary
- apply for a travel allowance,
- upload your certificate of enrolment from the University of Freiburg for the relevant semester
- enter the courses you wish to take at the host university
- download your pre-filled Learning Agreement to have it signed by your department.
It is not strictly necessary for outgoing students from the University of Freiburg to have a Learning Agreement signed. However, to ensure that your credits are recognised, it is recommended that you have a Learning Agreement signed before the start of your mobility period. If no ECTS credits are to be awarded, it is not necessary for your department to sign the agreement.
4. Enrol at the host university
Follow the host university’s instructions to enrol. This is the only way you can officially take part in the courses and exams! Enrolment is always free of charge.
Please note that at some universities, you are responsible for registering for courses and exams yourself via the university’s campus management system.

5. Submit your transcript of records to the University of Freiburg
At the end of the semester, you will receive a transcript of records – either automatically by email (University of Basel) or you will need to download it from the host university’s system. You can then submit this to your department in Freiburg so that the ECTS credits you have earned can be recognised.
6. Claim travel expenses
Download the claim form and submit it, completed and signed, together with the following supporting documents:
- proof of your attendance (e.g. your course record)
- your train, bus and/or tram tickets.
Please note that paper tickets must be submitted in their original form (by post or in person at the International Office). If you only have online tickets or PDF invoices, you may submit them by email to eucor@zv.uni-freiburg.de.
We can reimburse up to €28 for a return journey to another Eucor university, up to two return journeys per week during the semester. A pro-rata reimbursement of the monthly cost of the Deutschlandticket is available – and is usually the cheapest option if you make three or more journeys a month.
Please note that no reimbursement can be processed unless you have completed your registration on Mobility-Online.
