Workshop: FostEring MAth taLEntS

April 13–15, 2026
SR 404 Ernst-Zermelo-Str. 1, Freiburg

We are pleased to announce the workshop FostEring MAth taLEntS where female PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and master students present their works in short talks or on posters. The workshop is closely connected to the research themes of the IRTG and complements its scientific focus.

Beyond the scientific content, the workshop aims to create a space for networking, exchange of experiences, and reflection on career paths in academia and beyond. Participants will have the opportunity to share challenges, explore strategies for career development, and build connections across different career stages.
A highlight of the event will be a panel discussion featuring female academics at different career stages. They will share their personal journeys, challenges, and lessons learned, followed by an open discussion with the audience.

The workshop is primarily intended for female master students, PhD students, and postdocs; however, people of all genders are welcome to attend. If you are interested in participation, please register by sending an email to irtg3132@math.uni-freiburg.de.

Program

The workshop starts on Monday, April 13th, at 13:30 and ends on Wednesday, April 15th, around 12pm. The detailed programme will follow soon.
