Registration for lecture participation

Registering for courses

To register via the HisInOne booking system, you need a university account and a user ID, which you will receive from the Computer Centre after enrolment.

You will receive HisInOne training before the start of the semester so that you can then make bookings independently.

Registration takes place via ‘Campus Management – HISinOne’.

Get a Buddy

The Buddy Programme aims to help all international students “arrive” in Freiburg more quickly. In order to make the start at our university and in the city of Freiburg easier, our international students are connected with Freiburg law students (buddies) on request. The buddies help with academic and everyday steps and are happy to answer questions about university life. These range from studies to leisure time and cultural activities, from A for office or going out to Z for admission and finding a room.

Important: this programme is aimed specifically at law students and should not be confused with the International Club’s Buddy Programme!

How to register for the Buddy Programme?

You can apply for the Buddy Programme by completing the application form and sending it to buddyprogramm@jura.uni-freiburg.de before the start of your stay in Freiburg.

German language courses

We hope you have a wonderful experience here in Freiburg. It is therefore important for us to mention that many lectures are held in German. For this reason, German language skills at B1 level are recommended.

Language Learning Institute of the UFR (SLI)

The SLI is the university’s own language school. There are semester courses for every language level as well as inexpensive intensive courses. The summer and winter school programmes can also be extremely helpful in preparing for your studies in Freiburg. In addition to German, there are many other language courses on offer – perhaps you are interested in Swedish or Japanese?

Student hall

The Studierendenwerk Freiburg-Schwarzwald will be happy to answer any questions you may have about housing. You can find housing offers, a list of all student residences at the Studierendenwerk and other helpful information at SWFR. You can apply for a place in a hall of residence there.
