The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sprachwissenschaft (DGfS), the Hermann Paul Centre for Linguistics (HPCL) and the Freiburger Sprachwissenschaften warmly invite you to the:
43rd Annual Conference of the German Linguistics Society (DGfS)
Model and Evidence
Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau
February 23–26, 2021
This year’s theme, Model and Evidence, invites reflection on the productive tension between theoretical-conceptual innovation and new forms of empirical data collection and analysis — across all linguistic subdisciplines and regarding diverse object languages.
The DGfS annual conferences have become an established forum for linguists worldwide to present and discuss current research. The event spanned three days and featured plenary keynote talks, working group sessions, a poster session on computational linguistics, and general meetings of the DGfS and the Computational Linguistics Section.
Satellite events on February 23 included a tutorial on computational linguistics, a doctoral colloquium, a teacher information day, and a workshop on digital pragmatics.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was held entirely online.
