Research Focus

Indo-European Linguistics, specifically:

• Indo-Iranian studies: morphology and syntax of Vedic and Avestan
• Historical grammar of Greek, especially the language of Homer
• Syntax and morphology of the Indo-European verb, particularly aspect, Aktionsart, and moods
• Nominal morphology: types of inflection and their functional differentiation, internal derivation

General Linguistics:

• Verbal aspect and Aktionsart, especially in the context of narrative structures
• Moods and mood systems
