After moving to Germany, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Ralf Metzler at the Institute of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Potsdam with an&nbsp;<strong>Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship<\/strong>. In 2017 he was awarded an&nbsp;<strong>Emmy Noether<\/strong>&nbsp;independent junior research group by the&nbsp;German Research Foundation (DFG) and later also a&nbsp;<strong>Heisenberg professorship<\/strong>&nbsp;in 2023. Until 2025, his research group&nbsp;<strong>Mathematical bioPhysics<\/strong>&nbsp;was hosted by Prof. Helmut Grubm\u00fcller at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Natural Sciences (formerly Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry) in G\u00f6ttingen.
