Publications of the Faculty of Medicine

Since 2019, publications by researchers and members of the Faculty of Medicine and that qualify for performance-based funding (German: leistungsorientierte Mittelvergabe, LOM) or performance factors are documented centrally in the University of Freiburg’s repositorium, FreiDok plus. At the beginning of each year, heads of institutes and their respective publication officers will receive a list of the centrally recorded publications of their institution for review.

The previous moratorium, dating back to December 2023, has been lifted by the faculty council. With immediate effect, the AIFs are calculated using the most-recently published Journal Impact Factors from the Journal Citation Index.

To ensure that the entire research output of the Faculty of Medicine is accurately reflected in rankings, the faculty aims to standardize the way author affiliations are presented in publications.
