Anika ist interessiert daran, wie das Gehirn beim Lernen Informationen integriert und wie der Schlaf diese Representationen verändert. Um diese schlafabhängigen Lern- und Gedächtnisinteraktionen zu erforschen, benutzt sie eine Kombination aus bildgebenden Verfahren, so wie EEG und fMRT, und komputationellen Modellen von menschlichem Verhalten.
