aber fundamentale Fragen unbeantwortet, etwa die Natur der Dunklen Materie, den Ursprung der SM-Flavourstruktur, die Neutrinomassen und die Materie-Antimaterie-Asymmetrie des Universums. Atomic and Molecular Systems<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die DFG f\u00f6rdert das Projekt \u00fcber viereinhalb Jahre mit knapp sechs Millionen Euro. Ab Januar 2022 werden 14 Promovierende sowohl in Freiburg als auch im Rahmen eines Austauschprogramms in Vancouver\/Kanada Materie auf Quantenebene untersuchen. Genau-kontrollierte atomare und molekulare Proben, die zum Beispiel in Molekular-, Clusterstrahlen oder speziellen Fallen isoliert sind, spielen in diesem Forschungsbereich eine Schl\u00fcsselrolle, um zu verstehen, welche Dynamik den Prozessen zugrunde liegt. Das neue GRK der Universit\u00e4t Freiburg zielt in Zusammenarbeit mit der University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver darauf ab, Elektronen- und Kerndynamik von Systemen in genau definierten Experiment zur direkten Suche nach leichter dunkler Materie mit suprafl\u00fcssigem Helium<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ziel der Forschungsgruppe ist der Aufbau eines Experiments, um Dunkle-Materie-Teilchen zu detektieren, die eine geringe Masse besitzen und daher als leichte Dunkle Materie (LDM) bezeichnet werden. Bisherige Experimente sind lediglich f\u00fcr Dunkle Materie in einem h\u00f6heren Massebereich empfindlich und konnten bisher keine solchen Teilchen nachweisen. Zur Suche nach LDM nutzt die Forschungsgruppe die Eigenschaften von suprafluidem Helium als Targetmaterial. Sollten LDM-Teilchen mit dem suprafl\u00fcssigen Helium in Wechselwirkung treten, w\u00fcrde sich das mit einer Reihe von messbaren Prozessen, wie etwa einer Temperaturerh\u00f6hung, bemerkbar machen. Komplexit\u00e4t von Nichtgleichgewichtssystemen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ziel der Forschungsgruppe ist, einen systematischen Zugang zu entwickeln, um Dynamik und Dissipation in komplexen Systemen fernab des Gleichgewichts zu beschreiben. Dazu werden unterschiedliche Zug\u00e4nge betrachtet, wie generalisierte Langevin- und Master-Gleichungen, Fokker-Planck-Theorien, sowie ihre konsistente Kombination mit atomistischen Modellierungen wie klassische Molekulardynamik-Simulationen entwickelt. Unter Anwendung eines breiten Methodenspektrums \u2013 von komplett quantenmechanischen Beschreibungen bis zu klassischen Simulationen \u2013 wird die Forschungsgruppe Nichtgleichgewichtsph\u00e4nomene in einer Reihe von Systemen betrachten, wie Transportprozesse in Nanostrukturen und Biomolek\u00fclen sowie unterschiedliche Formen von Reibung und andere dissipative Effekte. Das Gesamtziel der Forschungsgruppe stellt somit die Entwicklung effizienter und genauer Theorien, Modelle und Rechenmethoden dar, die eine reduzierte Beschreibung von Nichtgleichgewichtsprozessen in Kernforschungszentrum CERN in Genf\/Schweiz gilt als Meilenstein der Wissenschaft, doch sind in der Teilchenphysik weitere grundlegende Fragen offen. Dies sind unter anderem das genaue Verst\u00e4ndnis der Massenerzeugung, die Vereinigung der fundamentalen Kr\u00e4fte oder die Natur der in der Astrophysik indirekt beobachteten Dunklen Materie. Das gef\u00f6rderte Graduiertenkolleg &#8222;Masse und Symmetrien nach der Entdeckung des Higgs-Teilchens am LHC&#8220; soll mithelfen, diese zu beantworten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die am Kolleg beteiligten Physikerinnen und Physiker werden an der pr\u00e4zisen Vermessung des Higgs-Teilchens sowie an Suchen nach neuen Teilchen durch theoretische Vorhersagen und durch die Analyse der Messdaten des
