The multilingual programmes of the Language Teaching Centre (SLI) of the University of Freiburg serve as a gateway that unlocks mobility for both students and staff, enabling them to study, teach, and collaborate across borders with confidence.

Our language programmes are designed for students, early‑career researchers, university staff, and professionals who want to broaden their horizons and succeed in an increasingly global environment. All courses combine classroom instruction with practical workshops, peer‑learning groups and optional cultural excursions, ensuring that language skills are applied immediately to academic and professional contexts.

Our language offerings are an integral part of the major mobility and cooperation programmes that drive European and Global exchange (ERASMUS+, EUCOR, LERU, EPICUR, Baden‑Württemberg Exchange Programmes, Freiburg Global Exchange Programme).
