Language & Themes Training
The Language Teaching Center (SLI) at the University of Freiburg offers intensive German courses and subject-specific training
for university members from Erasmus+ countries.
In addition to language courses, we also offer thematic training on topics such as AI Literacy in Higher Education: Critical Reflection & Professional Practice and Sustainability in the university.
If you are interested in our courses, please email us at staffweek@sli.uni-freiburg.de before enrolling via the website.
We will then provide you with information about the next steps in the registration process.

Course fee
Language courses: 350 €/week
Themes courses: 400 €/week
Minimum number of participants per course: 5
The course fee includes the teaching material, a getting-to-know meeting with „Kaffee und Kuchen“, tours through Freiburg’s city, museums,
the University and its institutions.
Half-day exursions outside of Freiburg and evening programme are not included in the course fee.
Please note: As soon as the minimum number of participants has been reached, you will receive a written course confirmation from the organiser.
Please note: If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the course can still be cancelled up to 3 weeks before the beginning.
In this case, the course fees you have already paid will of course be refunded.
Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the course fee and will not be provided. Helpful websites to find accommodation in Freiburg:
