Seal element of the university of freiburg in the shape of a flower

Deutschlandfunk on Liberal Arts and Sciences

A recent radio contribution by Deutschlandfunk discusses the background, specific features, and examples of LAS degree programs: In an increasingly complex world, an education that focusses on flexibility, curiosity connectivity, interdisciplinarity… is gaining ground.

The piece was produced by Finn Gessert, an LAS alum. After graduating from UCF, Finn continued with a Master’s degree in Transnational Journalism at the University of Mainz. He is now working as a freelance journalist. The contribution covers LAS programs and their specific characteristics in Stanford, Maastricht, Hamburg, and, of course, Freiburg. And it includes an interview with UCF Dean of Studies, Professor Frieder Vogelmann.

You can listen to the contribution here. It is part of the regular DLF series “Campus & Karriere”.
