International students

As an international student, you can register for ZfS courses.

Please note that you need to be officially enrolled at the University of Freiburg to do so. You can find out how to enroll at the Service Center Studium.

Upon your successful enrolment, you receive:

• the Unicard for University of Freiburg students by post, which gives you access to the University Library, lockers, cafeterias, etc.
• and your access authorization for the online services of University IT Services by email: After changing your default password in myAccount, you receive access to all online services offered by IT Services and the campus management system HISinOne.
• If you have questions about your university account or encounter problems with it, please contact University IT Services.

How can I register for courses?

The following course offerings are open to students of all degree programmes:

• Sustainability Certificate
• Internship Plus
• Service Learning

You can register for the following courses during the open admissions phase:

• Profession-Oriented Competencies (BOK)

Please take note of the exceptions for BOK courses in the Languages course area (see ‘What special conditions do I need to take into account for BOK language courses?’)
