Family services
The Family Service provides information on childcare options, parents’ rooms, holiday programmes and activities for parents. The university offers childcare options for employees, doctoral candidates and students and provides support in finding childcare places. The university’s daycare centres include, for example, the Uni-Kita Blütengarten, which is located directly in the buildings of the Faculty of Biology.
Students with children can also find further information and contact persons at the Student Office.
Support in cases of discrimination and abuse of power
The Department of Equality, Diversity and Academic Staff Development (GDaPE) offers confidential counselling on discrimination and abuse of power to all members of the University of Freiburg as part of the ‘protect’ project. The protect website also provides an overview of other internal and external contact points for emergencies, acute personal crises, sexual harassment or discrimination.
