Prof. Dr. Thomas Stieglitz, co-spokesperson of the Center and member of the Institute of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) at the University of Freiburg, was invited to summarize the current state of research on neuronal probes for neuroscience together with leading US experts in the journal Nature Reviews Methods Primers.The publication is one of the most recognized worldwide in the fields of biomedical engineering and neuroscience. The review article offers both experts and beginners a well-founded and understandable introduction to the technology of neural probes – a central tool for researching the brain.
