nxtAIM – OPEN PROJECT DAY

IMBIT hosts the nxtAIM Open Project Day in 2026

On February 25, 2026, the nxtAIM project invites you to an event at IMBIT.

nxtAIM is a research project that encompasses all essential elements for successful AI development: comprehensive automotive data from industry and academia, powerful computing resources, technical expertise, and innovative foundation models to build upon.

nxtAIM in dialogue – Using Generative Models for Automated Driving. Gain an overview of nxtAIM and look forward to engaging presentations, inspiring posters, and deep dives. Learn about the goals, challenges, and next steps of nxtAIM.

With generative methods, a new class of AI approaches is coming into focus: instead of training functions directly from data, we model the data itself, creating the framework for versatile foundation models. In the nxtAIM project, we are working together on these enabling technologies for the mobility of tomorrow. We will showcase medium-scale models, present research on sensor data and abstract time series, and discuss how generative AI is advancing automated driving. Seize the opportunity to exchange ideas with nxtAIM experts from academia and industry.

Location: NexusLab @IMBIT, University of Freiburg, Germany
Format: In-person event, free of charge
