Benedikt Kau

Benedikt Kau is a Doctoral candidate at the Chair of Information Systems at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and a member of the Climate Action Research Lab (CARL). His research focuses on energy policy and low-carbon technology adoption in the context of climate change mitigation. He is applying data-driven methodology and machine learning to behavioural research questions. He earned his MSc Computer Science at University College London and completed a B.Sc. Liberal Arts and Sciences at Freiburg University and University College Maastricht. He spent one year at Beijing Foreign Studies University studying Mandarin as part of a DAAD postgraduate scholarship program. Before starting his Doctoral studies, Benedikt Kau worked at McKinsey & Company.
