Sebastian Reining

Sebastian Reining is a PhD candidate at the Chair of Information Systems at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and a member of the Climate Action Research Lab. His research focuses on how households implement measures to adapt to and mitigate climate risks, with a particular emphasis on wildfires and homeowner decisions to invest in preparedness actions. Additionally, he studies the adoption of green technologies and the barriers to their adoption. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Research from the University of Mannheim and spent a semester abroad at the University of Ottawa. Before starting his PhD, he worked for McKinsey & Company.
