New Newsletter for all University Members

All for one: The new University-wide newsletter “Rundblick” will be launched on October 2, 2024. Every two weeks, it will inform all members of the University of Freiburg about central topics from the Rectorate, from research, studies, teaching, as well as about services and events.

The newsletter “Rundblick” will be launched in the 2024/25 winter semester, bringing together the diversity of the University of Freiburg. It will summarise key topics from the rectorate, research, studies and teaching every two weeks for students, doctoral candidates and employees in science, administration, service and technology, as well as providing information about services and events.

“’Rundblick’ is the new format for our internal communication,” explains Rimma Gerenstein, Press Officer and Head of Communications at the Office of University and Science Communications at the University of Freiburg. “The University wants to use this channel to provide all its members with key information – in a compact, comprehensible and transparent way.”

The university universe is also becoming more and more complex, explains Gerenstein. It offers more opportunities and interfaces, new topics, questions and challenges, which means that the need for internal communication is also growing. Not only for every member of the University, but also for the institution itself. “Internal communication is an important building block, especially for positive collaborative studying, research and work and for mutual further development.”

“Rundblick” is also particularly relevant for legally binding information from the Central University Administration. All University members can now access the content simultaneously at a glance.

The newsletter contains a table of contents from which you can directly access the sections via jump labels. This allows you to go directly to the content that concerns and interests you.

Some articles contain internal university information and are therefore only accessible to employees in the intranet. These articles are marked with a reference to the intranet for better recognition.
