Doctoral Studies
You can earn a doctoral degree from the University of Freiburg in a multitude of subjects and research fields. The paths to the doctorate are also numerous: All eleven faculties award the highest academic degree in the context of structured doctoral programmes or an individual doctorate. With the Graduate Centre, the University of Freiburg offers a central service point for all doctoral candidates – and for those who would like to become one.
Graduate Centre
The Graduate Centre (GraCe) is the central service point for all doctoral candidates. Its services include welcoming events, transdisciplinary advising, qualification, and financial support. Another task is to provide the best possible conditions for doctoral studies throughout the University – and to support and strengthen the doctoral candidate representatives.
Doctoral Programmes
The University of Freiburg is involved in a number of structured doctoral programmes that offer doctoral candidates a thematically focused research programme and a corresponding qualification component.
