University of Freiburg teachers and researchers have until 8 September to apply for seed money for their bi- or trinational project idea.
The university alliance on the Upper Rhine, Eucor – The European Campus, has again issued a call for seed money projects. Proposals will be accepted for projects actively involving at least two Eucor member universities and from at least two countries. The application deadline is Monday, 8 September 2025. The approved projects from this round of proposals receive their funding for a maximum of 24 months starting no earlier than 1 February 2026.
Seed money is an instrument for providing initial funding to innovative cross-border projects within Eucor – The European Campus. In this way, the Eucor universities support exchange and networking among researchers and teachers. Each year there is a public call for proposals with two funding lines: teaching and research and research, innovation, and transfer. A total of €300,000 in funding is available each year, with a maximum amount of €60,000 per project. Seed money was offered for the first time in 2017.
