Semester Welcome 2024

The Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg will once again be welcoming first-semester students to the Europa-Park stadium of SC Freiburg this year. The Welcome Day will take place on Friday, October 11. In addition to the new students, families and friends as well as students from higher semesters are cordially invited.
Program
Admission from 1 PM via the entrance E4 Guests
Food and drinks can be purchased in the stadium.
2 PM Welcome
- Interview with Hanno Franke (Head of Marketing and Sustainability SC Freiburg)
- Welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Michael Schwarze (Vice Rector for Academic Affairs)
- Welcome speech by Beni, Lilly, Mae and Max (students’ council)
- Show performance “EVERYONE – Human Rights” by the Matrix show team and the Institute of Sport and Sports Science
2.30 PM ”Markt der Möglichkeiten“
- Get to know the central facilities of the University of Freiburg, the student representation StuRa and numerous student communities, groups, associations and partners. Here you can find information, get involved and immerse yourself in life and studying in Freiburg.
5.00 PM End of the event

Tickets for SC Freiburg
SC Freiburg is giving away a free ticket for a home game in the Dreisamstadion (U23 men, 3rd league or women’s Bundesliga) to all first-year students. Pick up your ticket voucher directly at the entrance.
