Studying with a Disability or Chronic Illness

Support options during studies

Starting a degree programme, exploring a new city, becoming familiar with new learning content, successfully passing exams – these are challenges that every new student faces.

However, for students living with a disability or chronic illness, the path from enrolment to successful graduation requires much greater effort and the additional overcoming of various barriers.

The University of Freiburg aims to enable its students with disabilities/chronic illnesses to participate in student life as equally and independently as possible and to support them in completing their studies by offering a range of information and advisory services.

We are happy to advise you on support options during your studies, offer a listening ear or mediate in the event of a conflict.
