Continuing education courses for professionals
The University’s continuing education courses offer you the best of theory and practice, helping you to increase your professional insight and build your competencies on an academic basis. The courses support specialists and managers in solving problems in a societal and professional context. The formats are compatible with family and a full-time job, help you to advance your career, re-enter the job market, or even change your career path, and strengthen transfer from research to practice and back. The University offers these qualifications in the form of short courses, combinable modules, and continuing education programmes. The courses are subject to fees, and there are certain prerequisites for admission.

Guest student status allows you to gain insights and further qualifications freely in individual subjects and fields of knowledge – but without the possibility of pursuing a degree. For a small fee, you can attend courses from the current course offerings for the duration of a semester.
Studium generale
With individual lectures, lecture series, readings and concerts, the Studium generale offers a comprehensive programme from various subject areas and encourages exchange and discussion. The programme is aimed at both university members and interested members of the public.

The School of Education FACE offers teacher training courses that take place at the University of Education or at the University.
