Freiburg prizes for the promotion of young talents

The University of Freiburg is very proud to announce and award numerous prizes for the promotion of young scientists every year, the prize money of which is provided by generous donors.

The Office of Honours and Awards coordinates the calls for applications. At the beginning of the summer semester, the faculties are informed about the calls for applications. They then take care of the announcement, setting the deadlines and convening the meetings of the Board of Trustees. At the end of July, the Office of Honours and Awards receives the decision of the Board of Trustees and informs the award winners.

On the following pages, we have compiled the Freiburg prizes for the promotion of young talents according to their faculty affiliation. This list does not claim to be exhaustive, but only represents the awards that are processed through the office.

The list also includes a number of prizes that are offered by other institutions for researchers at the University of Freiburg and awarded at their own events. Please refer to the relevant announcement texts.
