Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are revolutionizing sustainable environmental monitoring by providing innovative solutions to understand the impacts of climate change on ecosystems. By integrating cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), UAVs offer unprecedented opportunities for various environmental applications, though their full potential remains untapped. The ACCELERATE project aims to bridge this gap by fostering an interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral ecosystem to enhance UAV technology for sustainable environmental management. Multiple case studies will validate the project’s outputs. With 17 academic and industrial partners from 9 countries, ACCELERATE unites expertise from academia and industry to drive pioneering research and innovation across urban, natural, and agricultural environments.
