8:30 to 13:00: Masterclass / Workshop with Professor Ulinka Rublack

The workshop builds upon a recent publication originating from the Balzan-FRIAS project:

Workshop participants will discuss both published and unpublished works by Professor Rublack, as well as texts on global cultural history suggested by the group.

How to Apply:

PhD students and early-stage postdoctoral researchers interested in the programme are invited to apply by 31 October 2025. Applications should include a letter of intent, a CV, and a brief outline of the current research project (2–3 pages). In your letter, please also identify an article from a journal or a book that you believe represents global cultural history at its best, or at its most stimulating. Applications should be sent to Professor Jürgen Osterhammel (juergen.osterhammel@frias.uni-freiburg.de).

The Balzan-FRIAS programme will cover accommodation costs (one night, or up to two nights upon special request) as well as travel expenses to and from Freiburg. Please note that funding is available for travel within Europe only.
