Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Falk Tauber is a postdoctoral researcher at the livMatS cluster of excellence at the University of Freiburg, where he coordinates the demonstrator area and leads the research on bioinspired and biomimetic soft machines. After studying biology with a focus on biomimetics at RWTH Aachen University, he completed his industry-funded PhD on bioinspired pump systems for automotive applications at the University of Freiburg. Since 2019, he has been leading the soft robotics group and the materials testing laboratory at the EXC livMatS. The scientific excellence of the group is demonstrated by more than 25 publications and patents. His research focuses on the development of sustainable, bio-inspired soft machine systems that transfer biological principles into technology using sustainable techniques and materials.
