Curriculum Vitae

Linda Toledo is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Renewable Energy at Eurac Research in Italy. She also holds the position of Chancellor’s Fellow in Healthy Buildings and is a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom.
Her background in architecture, coupled with a Master in Sustainable Design and a doctorate in Sustainable Buildings, has allowed her to conduct field research across various countries, including Italy, the UK, Brazil, and Perú.

Her work spans several critical themes related to the sustainable built environment:
(a) thermal comfort, by investigating the risk of overheating in modern housing, both new builds and renovated residential buildings;
(b) low-energy design, by exploring strategies for creating energy-efficient buildings;
(c) climate change adaptation, addressing how people and buildings can adapt to changing climate conditions.
Her most recent project, ADAPTIVE HOUSING, focuses on assessing the vulnerability and resilience of low-energy homes in the context of rising temperatures, using climate change projections.
