Curriculum Vitae

Rike Sinder is a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Law, University of Freiburg, Germany. She studied law, Islamic studies and political science at Freiburg, Grenoble and Damascus. Rike Sinder earned her doctorate in law at the University of Freiburg. Her studies and her doctorate were funded by the German National Academic Foundation. Rike Sinder’s thesis on “The Systematisation of Islamic Law” was awarded the Erasmus Prize 2021 and the 2022 research award of the International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (German Section). Following her doctorate, she served as a legal trainee at the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court, clerking inter alia at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Rike Sinder is currently working on constitutional and administrative law with a focus on climate protection.
