Curriculum Vitae

Tom Bossuyt studied German and English linguistics and literature at Ghent University (2013–2017) and general linguistics at the University of Freiburg (2017–2020). In 2025, he obtained his doctoral degree from Ghent University on concessive conditionals from a typological perspective. He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Freiburg and the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies, conducting a two-year research project funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. His research interests include linguistic typology, adverbial clauses (in particular conditionals and concessives), and language contact.
