EU Office

We are the central service centre for European funding.

The EU Office advises on European Union funding opportunities for projects in the fields of research and education.

We monitor developments in EU research policy to inform you about current trends and opportunities.

Are you doing research at the University of Freiburg or do you want to move to the University of Freiburg and have a project idea? We will work with you to find the right form of funding and the right call for proposals. We advise researchers at every career stage and from all disciplines except medicine. Researchers from the Faculty of Medicine should contact the Office of the Dean for Research.

We support your research project from the application to the financial audit after project completion. We read your applications, provide feedback, support you with formulation and budgeting, clarify administrative and legal issues in advance and during the course of the project. We also draft and negotiate all contracts in connection with EU projects and are responsible for signing these documents.

We contribute to making the University of Freiburg visible in the EU context. In doing so, we advocate for the interests of researchers in many different committees.
