Coaching is about identifying potentials and initiating processes of change. The individual coaching offered by GraCe provides doctoral candidates the opportunity to reflect their personal achievements, evolve their competences and develop individual goal-oriented solutions for their problems. During four sessions, professionally trained coaches provide assistance in attaining a clear overview of one’s professional situation, in making important decisions or in the field of work-life balance. For international doctoral candidates, the coaching can also include, if required, aspects of cultural standards in Germany.
Included are a preliminary meeting (60 minutes) and a maximum of three coaching sessions (90 minutes each).
GraCe bears a large part of the expenses. However, every coachee has to pay a contribution of 20 € (plus VAT) per session directly to the coach. In case of hardship, please send an informal request for full funding to GraCe. The preliminary meeting is always free of charge.
The coaching sessions can be held in German or English. Some coaches do offer sessions in Spanish and Portuguese too. The sessions as well as their content are confidential. At the beginning of the first session, coach and coachee sign an agreement on confidentiality, including further conditions and arrangements. After the coaching, we kindly ask you to fill in an evaluation form.
This offer is open to registered or matriculated doctoral candidates at the University. Doctoral candidates of the Faculty of Medicine are not allowed to participate.
