Application for kite-mentoring
Who can apply to participate in kite mentoring?
Kite-mentoring is a mentoring and career development program for women* in natural- and life sciences and engineering in their doctoral and postdoctoral phase at the University of Freiburg. Female* scientists from the faculties of mathematics and physics, chemistry and pharmacy, engineering, biology, environment and natural resources and members of our funding partners can apply to enrich our network as mentee.
Is there an application deadline?
No. You can apply at any time without a registration deadline and remain part of the kite network as alumna to benefit, to be part of the kite-network and to support current mentees.
How can I register?

- Read our privacy policy and accept in the profile
- Send it to us by e-mail to kite-mentoring@uni-freiburg.de
If a mentoring tandem is desired, a further form for personal matching is required. We will contact you for a personal talk.
For how long can I participate?
Participation in the kite-mentoring network only ends when the mentee ends it herself, not when the mentees leaves University. In this way, kite-mentoring provides a lifelong network for women* in science.
What to do if I am not eligible to apply?
If you are a doctoral candidate at the University of Freiburg but not a member of one of our partners or you are working as a Postdoc but your current affiliation is not among our kite supporters, please contact us.
