The Biannual Conference of the German Cognitive Science Society, KogWis 2022 – Understanding Minds took place from
5th – 7th September 2022
at the Center for Cognitive Science at the University of Freiburg.
The theme “Understanding Minds” reflected two perspectives: The conference provided a forum for all topics in the study of how minds – both human and artificial – operate. The theme also put a specific spotlight on how cognitive systems make sense of the world, in particular in language comprehension and communication.
We were happy to host the conference with in-person participation and looked forward to welcoming all participants in Freiburg. (In case the pandemic situation changed, we would have needed to adapt the conference’s format.)
