Control and Integration of Grids

Welcome!

The research group Control and Integration of Grids at INATECH of the University of Freiburg, led by Prof. Dr. Anke Weidlich, focuses on the sustainable transformation of energy systems. Their research combines technical, economic, ecological, and social perspectives to model and evaluate electricity markets, grid flexibility, and system integration. Using optimization models and agent-based simulation, the group investigates the interplay between market design and grid operation, particularly in the context of sector coupling and the integration of renewable energies.
